The Engineering City Education Program

An Industry-Based Education System

About

The “Electronic Devices & Measurement Systems” is a department within the “Institute of Information & Communication Technologies and Electronics” of the Yerevan Polytechnic University that operates in the Engineering City.

It is an industry-based education department that combines traditional education with industry-based education where part of the courses, lab works, and research take place in the Engineering City.

The Department offers two Educational programs:

  • Measurement Devices & Systems
  • RF Devices & Systems

These are four-year Bachelor of Science programs that culminate with diploma projects.  The diploma projects are industry-related projects that are recommended and guided by advisers from the industry.

The graduates of the Department receive a BSc degree in Engineering in the field of “Instrumentation & Measurement”, or a BSc degree in Engineering in the field of “Radio Devices & Communication” – both from the Yerevan Polytechnic University.

Besides the regular courses, the Department operates an After-Hour Program that includes:

   - “Introduction to Engineering” Program for the 1st and 2nd year students
   - “EC Internship” Program in one of the Engineering City companies for 3rd and 4th year students
   - “Technology Training” Program

The Department also operates a Placement Office to assist the graduates with job placement upon graduation.

The “Department of Electronic Devices and Measurement Systems” is a collaboration between the Polytechnic University, the Engineering Association, and the Engineering City.
